Voices From Main Street: Nationalist or Globalist ; Parallels with Brexit and Our Presidential Election!

Are you a Globalist or a Nationalist?  Are you a believer that countries are best served by protecting their individual borders and interests, or do you prefer that your country blend into a global union who control your overall welfare as a country?  Obviously, Great Britain said that it was time to return to controlling its own interests again.  How this all works out remains to be seen, but the issues are laid out before us right now.  Many people in Great Britain, as well as France and Germany have , like the United States, become alarmed at the immigration which has overwhelmed not only the numbers of people in those countries, but has also affected the economics, the safety, and the culture of each of those nations.  It has left the regular citizens feeling helpless as the Globalists in those European countries and the United States have allowed borders to mean nothing, and the welfare of their own countries to be secondary to global interests.  We see President Obama’s nuclear deals with Iran, and trade deals in the Pacific, added to his efforts to legalize those who are illegal, and his lack of immigration enforcement with regard to sanctuary cities, and we should be concerned and ashamed. The lack of pride and concern by our President, and leaders of the other European countries have outraged the helpless citizen to the point that those who would change it have voted to leave the EU.  Here at home, the idea of “Make America Great Again” have found an imperfect candidate, but a willing audience of over 13 million Republican voters who want to see our borders and interests respected again.  Meanwhile, the Hillary Clintons, Barack Obamas, the David Camerons, the Angela Merkels, and all the other Globalists who have run our cultures into the ground tell us , the citizens how uneducated we are, and how this is all a major mistake.  The question is simple; “Why have borders and economics for our countries if you are not going to guard their interests.”  This is the common denominator that has awakened  many in Europe, at least in Great Britain, and here in at least part of the United States.  How far will this anger and concern go?  We’ll wait and see.  It is a demarcation point in our history, and one that will determine where we go in the future….Gary Sutton.
