Main Street Voices: So Here are your choices in 2016?

So here are the choices that you have in the Election of 2016: 1. Hillary Clinton, a crook with all kinds of scandals circling her like vultures flying lazy circles; a woman who has lived at the public trough for the most part of her life, who makes us have to adjust our value systems to support her.  2. Donald Trump, who is off the rails with what he has said time and time again.  Any one of these things would have sunk any other candidate traditionally. Here is a guy who seems to go by the credo, “ready , fire, aim” as he lashes out in all directions, who has consistently used the public sector from the private sector, and seems to cover every position on every issue, so you end up not knowing where he stands.  3. Then you have Bernie Sanders, a socialist who doesn’t seem able to do the math to show how we pay for his programs which redistribute wealth across the country.  Doesn’t seem like a great set of choices, does it?  Will it be Establishment, Anti-Establishment, or Anti-American Values for you?  Do we vote for a woman because she put up with Bill Clinton and traveled millions of miles “working hard” while screwing up everything she touched while constantly guarding what people knew about her and her actions?  Do we choose a man who has little to no discipline in the way he conducts himself, and who doesn’t seem aware of the fact that we have three branches of government, and a Constitution on which they are based?  Do we choose a man who threatens to blow up the status quo as it is, yet has a totally different political philosophy than what we have seen?  Or do we choose a man who never held a job until he was 30 years old, and since then has been paid by taxpayers without having to produce anything while spouting Anti-Capitalistic views and claiming the government can make it all fair.  So is it Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, or Bernie Sanders or a draft pick from Bill Crystal to be named later like David French?  (Who the Hell is he??)  No, it’s not the “lesser of two or three or four evils” that we usually get.  No , I think in this election, the stark choice is “the less evil of whatever number of lessers we are presented with.” What a choice we have been presented with in 2016….Gary Sutton
