Neighbor Dispute In York Co. Ends In Murder/Suicide

A dispute between neighbors in York County Saturday evening leaves 2-people dead and one injured. Spring Garden Township police say officers were called to the rear of 401 Hill Street at around 6:15pm to find two people with gunshot wounds. The York County Coroner’s office says a neighbor shot his 36-year-old female neighbor. Its unclear who the wounded person is. Officials say the shooter then went back to his property where he then used the weapon to take his own life. The woman was being treated at York Hospital when she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday night. More details including the names of those involved are expected to be released today. One of the dead is reported to be a teacher at Central York High School. The district has announced a two-hour delay today, for students in grades 9-11. Additional counseling services will be available at the High School.
