In open state House districts, Democratic Lancaster city council President Izzy Smith-Wade-El won the primary to represent the 49th Legislative District while Republican Tom Jones took the top spot in the 98th. But there were two surprises in York County, on the Republican side, Wendy Fink beat long-time state Representative Stan Saylor and current state representative Keith Gillespie fell to Joe D’Orsie.

As for Congressional races in November, Democrat Shamaine Daniels will face 10th District Republican Congressman Scott Perry. In the 11th District, Democrat Bob Hollister will run against GOP Congressman Lloyd Smucker.
