PA Primary Day 2022

Its Primary Election Day in Pennsylvania. This year, the party faithful, especially Republicans, will choose from multiple candidates spread across several competitive races ahead of the general election in the fall. The top races are for U-S Senate where Republican Pat Toomey is retiring when his current term runs out in January. There are 3-Democrats running for the party nomination for that seat while on the GOP side, there are 7-candidates. The other high profile race if for governor where Tom Wolf is limited to two terms. Attorney General Josh Shapiro is running unopposed while 9-Republicans running. Voters can return their completed mail-in or absentee ballots at their county election board as well as some have designated drop boxes or other drop-off locations. Under Pennsylvania law, voters must return their own ballots and in order for them to be counted, they must be dropped off before 8 p.m. If you have questions about where you vote or where to drop off a mail-in or absentee ballot, find answers at the state web site: vote.pa.gov.
