Search Continues For Vehicle After A Lancaster Co. Fatal Hit-&-Run

The search continues for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-&-run traffic accident in Lancaster County. West Hempfield Township police say a 10-year old boy was struck by a car Saturday evening and thrown into another lane where he was run over and killed. This happened just after 5:30p along the 3600-block of Marietta Avenue near the intersection of Summit Drive. Officers says the victim had been walking with a 17-year old girl who was also hit by the first car. She was taken to Lancaster General Hospital but we do not know her current condition. The 21-year old sister of that girl was injured by some flying debris and needed medical treatment. The driver of the original vehicle, also a 17-year old girl, was taken to LGH as a precaution and released. Police are looking for a black SUV with possible front-end damage which hit the boy and then kept driving. The investigation continues. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 717-285-5191
