Lancaster Judge Issues Sentence After Victim’s Didn’t Want Jail For Abuser

A Lancaster County man was given 1-to-2 years in jail and 32-years probation after he pleaded guilty last spring sexually abusing children. The District Attorney’s Office says 55-year old John Lapp of Quarryville admitted to aggravated indecent assault and other crimes involving 4-kids starting back in 1995. The abuse was not reported until recently. Officials say the judge ordered the sentence after considering that the victims didn’t want Lapp to go to prison. Lapp must also register his whereabouts with police for the rest of his life, under Megan’s Law.
